Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 3.13% or 310.0 points to trade at 10220.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 1.46% or 20.0 points to end at 1390.0 and Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was up 1.75% or 660.0 points to 38460.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB), which fell 2.44% or 45.0 points to trade at 1800.0 at the close. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) declined 0.62% or 80.0 points to end at 12740.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) was down 0.55% or 60.0 points to 10840.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 18 to 6 and 4 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for September delivery was up 3.57% or 4.86 to $140.88 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.72% or 21.50 to hit $3004.50 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.82% or 10.90 to trade at $1313.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 2.22% to 2990.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.46% to 905.05.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.51% at 96.06.
