In special situations group, the firm invests between $20 million and $750 million per transaction in a variety of investments, including: buyouts operational turnarounds, corporate orphans and carve-outs, complex management buyouts, financings dip financings, exit financings, and mezzanine financings for sponsored buyouts. In buyouts, the firm invests in companies having Enterprise Value of up to $1600 million. In federal, state and local government, the firm invests between $10 million and $500 million in a single transaction. The firm prefers to be a majority or minority investor and makes direct minority investments of subordinated debt, senior debt and equity in middle market private and public companies. The firm prefers to take minority ownership position of up to 49%.
