US Stock Futures Signal Lower Start On Wall Street

US stock futures are lower this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 101 points to 12,482.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 11.70 points to 1,321.70. Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 24.75 points to 2,534.75.
 
US stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 1.01% to 12,580.69, the S&P 500 index gaining 1.11% to 1,332.42 and the Nasdaq 100 index surging 1.18% to 2,870.99.
 
Booz Allen Hamilton Inc (NYSE: BAH) is expected to post its Q4 earnings at $0.41 per share on revenue of $1.55 billion. Daktronics Inc (NASDAQ: DAKT) is projected to post its Q4 EPS at $0.03 on revenue of $118.53 million.
 
TiVo Inc (NASDAQ: TIVO) is estimated to post a Q1 loss at $0.15 per share on revenue of $54.89 million. Coldwater Creek Inc (NASDAQ: CWTR) is estimated to post a Q1 loss at $0.20 per share on revenue of $173.33 million.
 
Yingli Green Energy Holding Co Ltd (NYSE: YGE) is expected to post a Q1 loss at $0.21 per share on revenue of $448.86 million. REX American Resources Corporation (NYSE: REX) is estimated to post its Q1 EPS at $0.03 on revenue of $141.90 million.
 
FormFactor Inc (NASDAQ: FORM) lifted its second-quarter revenue forecast.
 
Research in Motion Limited (NASDAQ: RIMM) said it projects to report an operating loss for its fiscal first quarter.
 
European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index declined 1.17%, London's FTSE 100 Index dropped 1.53%, French CAC 40 index fell 1.51% and German DAX 30 index dropped 1.17%.
 
Asian markets ended lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average dropping 0.28%, Chinese Shanghai Composite falling 0.21% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 dropping 0.47%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index tumbled 1.92% and India's Sensex fell 0.77%.
 
The ICE dollar index (DXY) rose 0.2% to 82.68, versus 82.468 in North American trade Tuesday.
 
The euro dropped 0.48% against the dollar to trade at $1.2443, versus $1.2493 late Tuesday. The US dollar fell 0.47% versus the Japanese yen to trade at ¥79.1250, versus ¥79.49.
 
Crude-oil futures declined $1.29 to $89.47 a barrel in electronic trade.
