Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 1.77%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 2.52% or 3.30 points to trade at 134.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) added 0.15% or 0.20 points to end at 130.60 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was down 0.18% or 0.3 points to 162.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa), which fell 3.05% or 3.6 points to trade at 114.5 at the close. Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) declined 2.77% or 2.45 points to end at 86.00 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was down 2.53% or 4.0 points to 153.8.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 439 to 120 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.05% or 3.6 to 114.5.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 3.33% or 1.39 to $43.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 3.42% or 1.53 to hit $46.37 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.83% or 8.90 to trade at $1075.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.01% to 9.2735, while USD/SEK fell 0.16% to 8.7052.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 99.63.
