Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 1.35% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 0.81% or 3.90 points to trade at 487.30 at the close. Meanwhile, AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) added 0.79% or 3.8 points to end at 482.7 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was up 0.31% or 0.5 points to 162.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb), which fell 8.66% or 15.80 points to trade at 166.70 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 4.77% or 1.40 points to end at 27.93 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was down 3.97% or 8.5 points to 205.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 394 to 158 and 48 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 2.28% or 0.86 to $36.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 2.28% or 0.91 to hit $38.93 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.36% or 16.70 to trade at $1240.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.07% to 9.2833, while USD/SEK rose 0.04% to 8.1523.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 94.42.
