Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 0.53% or 0.25 points to trade at 47.57 at the close. Meanwhile, Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) added 0.46% or 1.3 points to end at 286.8 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was up 0.26% or 0.20 points to 76.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 3.12% or 15.00 points to trade at 466.00 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 2.70% or 0.91 points to end at 32.83 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was down 2.39% or 3.60 points to 146.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 323 to 240 and 43 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.66% or 1.22 to $44.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 3.17% or 1.50 to hit $45.87 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.47% or 6.05 to trade at $1296.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.16% to 9.1848, while USD/SEK fell 0.70% to 7.9752.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.40% at 92.65.
