Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ABB Ltd (ST:ABB), which rose 2.00% or 3.5 points to trade at 178.7 at the close. Meanwhile, Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) added 1.03% or 1.8 points to end at 177.1 and Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was up 1.01% or 0.63 points to 63.23 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb), which fell 6.42% or 9.2 points to trade at 134.1 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 3.27% or 3.40 points to end at 100.50 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was down 2.86% or 0.75 points to 25.47.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 318 to 246 and 74 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.84% or 0.84 to $44.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.57% or 0.74 to hit $46.43 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.73% or 9.65 to trade at $1328.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.04% to 9.4699, while USD/SEK fell 0.07% to 8.5973.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 97.02.
