Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 1.57% or 2.50 points to trade at 162.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 1.22% or 2.50 points to end at 207.10 and Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) was up 0.93% or 2.3 points to 249.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which fell 3.10% or 4.50 points to trade at 140.50 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) declined 2.23% or 5.8 points to end at 254.3 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) was down 2.16% or 3.8 points to 172.4.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 343 to 258 and 52 ended unchanged.
Shares in Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 1.57% or 2.50 to 162.00. Shares in Boliden AB (ST:BOL) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 1.22% or 2.50 to 207.10.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.20% or 1.07 to $49.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.95% or 0.99 to hit $51.86 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.13% or 1.70 to trade at $1268.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.12% to 9.6259, while USD/SEK fell 0.05% to 8.5969.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 96.22.
