Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 10.65% or 6.05 points to trade at 62.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) added 4.48% or 10.9 points to end at 254.3 and Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was up 2.15% or 1.75 points to 83.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 3.54% or 1.14 points to trade at 31.06 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) declined 3.16% or 6.7 points to end at 205.0 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was down 2.94% or 2.65 points to 87.55.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 281 to 272 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.22% or 0.10 to $46.04 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.13% or 0.07 to hit $48.98 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 2.31% or 27.20 to trade at $1148.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.14% to 9.3577, while USD/SEK fell 0.17% to 8.5339.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 97.43.
