Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 3.12%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 13.83% or 4.16 points to trade at 34.23 at the close. Meanwhile, Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 7.45% or 8.60 points to end at 124.00 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 5.52% or 4.00 points to 76.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 1.18% or 3.0 points to trade at 257.4 at the close. Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) added 1.49% or 0.85 points to end at 57.80 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) was up 1.67% or 2.0 points to 121.7.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 369 to 76 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.31% or 1.05 to $46.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 3.13% or 1.50 to hit $49.63 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.34% or 3.90 to trade at $1132.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.38% to 9.3338, while USD/SEK fell 0.18% to 8.3398.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 96.15.
