Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.60% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 2.69% or 1.09 points to trade at 41.59 at the close. Meanwhile, Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) added 2.31% or 1.12 points to end at 49.52 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) was up 2.24% or 3.1 points to 141.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 2.52% or 1.90 points to trade at 73.45 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 1.66% or 3.5 points to end at 207.0 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was down 0.97% or 2.40 points to 245.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 335 to 281 and 56 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.97% or 1.02 to $50.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.87% or 1.03 to hit $53.91 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.48% or 5.65 to trade at $1170.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.44% to 9.7681, while USD/SEK rose 0.10% to 9.1250.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.40% at 100.56.
