Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 1.20% or 3.7 points to trade at 312.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) added 1.19% or 0.90 points to end at 76.25 and Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) was up 1.10% or 2.8 points to 258.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 1.12% or 1.60 points to trade at 141.60 at the close. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) declined 0.89% or 0.65 points to end at 72.30 and Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) was down 0.82% or 2.1 points to 254.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 311 to 254 and 68 ended unchanged.
Shares in Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.20% or 3.7 to 312.1.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.56% or 0.23 to $41.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.12% or 0.05 to hit $43.28 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.23% or 16.45 to trade at $1357.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.21% to 9.5495, while USD/SEK fell 1.02% to 8.5503.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.17% at 95.56.
