Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 1.47% or 2.70 points to trade at 186.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) added 1.18% or 1.00 points to end at 85.90 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) was up 0.95% or 1.1 points to 116.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs), which fell 1.37% or 2.3 points to trade at 165.8 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) declined 1.05% or 3.3 points to end at 309.9 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was down 0.52% or 3.0 points to 573.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 307 to 292 and 54 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.61% or 1.15 to $45.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.03% or 0.93 to hit $46.81 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.02% or 13.40 to trade at $1331.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.04% to 9.5839, while USD/SEK fell 0.15% to 8.5860.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 95.76.
