Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 2.98% or 3.00 points to trade at 103.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 2.91% or 3.7 points to end at 130.7 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was up 2.13% or 6.5 points to 312.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb), which fell 5.36% or 11.00 points to trade at 194.10 at the close. Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) declined 4.19% or 1.79 points to end at 40.91 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was down 2.34% or 0.68 points to 28.36.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 312 to 283 and 70 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.98% or 3.00 to 103.70. Shares in Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) fell to 3-years lows; falling 4.19% or 1.79 to 40.91.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.99% or 0.49 to $49.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.91% or 0.46 to hit $50.01 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.35 to trade at $1269.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.17% to 9.8778, while USD/SEK fell 0.56% to 9.0310.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.23% at 98.69.
