Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.14% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 2.34% or 3.70 points to trade at 161.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) added 1.86% or 1.50 points to end at 82.05 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 1.78% or 0.60 points to 34.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Investor AB ser. B (ST:INVEb), which fell 0.90% or 2.8 points to trade at 307.7 at the close. Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) declined 0.83% or 0.32 points to end at 38.06 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 0.64% or 0.45 points to 70.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 352 to 252 and 62 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 3.80% or 1.76 to $48.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 3.82% or 1.79 to hit $48.65 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.29% or 3.55 to trade at $1212.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.50% to 9.7962, while USD/SEK fell 0.34% to 9.2379.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 101.14.
