Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 2.65% or 1.02 points to trade at 39.45 at the close. Meanwhile, SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 1.92% or 0.70 points to end at 37.25 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 1.62% or 3.90 points to 244.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 1.51% or 1.30 points to trade at 85.05 at the close. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) declined 1.19% or 2.0 points to end at 166.7 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was down 0.52% or 1.0 points to 189.9.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 331 to 279 and 59 ended unchanged.
Shares in SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.92% or 0.70 to 37.25. Shares in Boliden AB (ST:BOL) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.62% or 3.90 to 244.10.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.13% or 0.06 to $47.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.25% or 0.12 to hit $48.83 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.29% or 3.50 to trade at $1184.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.29% to 9.7635, while USD/SEK fell 0.39% to 9.2439.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 101.71.
