Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Information Technology, Services and Construction & Engineering sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Equity Two PLC (CM:ETWO), which rose 9.98% or 5.00 points to trade at 55.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Ceylon Printers PLC (CM:CPRT) added 9.87% or 6.00 points to end at 66.80 and Beruwala Resorts PLC (CM:BERU) was up 8.33% or 0.100 points to 1.300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB), which fell 12.50% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.7000 at the close. Kalamazoo Systems PLC (CM:KZOO) declined 11.78% or 114.90 points to end at 860.10 and Kelani Valley Plantations PLC (CM:KVAL) was down 11.11% or 7.00 points to 56.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 89 to 84 and 46 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kalamazoo Systems PLC (CM:KZOO) fell to 5-year lows; down 11.78% or 114.90 to 860.10.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.84% or 0.42 to $49.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.65% or 0.33 to hit $50.14 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.15% or 1.85 to trade at $1267.65 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.89% to 179.460, while USD/LKR fell 0.22% to 148.015.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 98.78.
