Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Plantations, Motors and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share rose 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Central Investments and Finance PLC (CM:CIFL), which rose 40.00% or 0.200 points to trade at 0.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE) added 30.00% or 0.30 points to end at 1.30 and Agalawatte Plantations PLC (CM:AGAL) was up 20.00% or 3.80 points to 22.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kalamazoo Systems PLC (CM:KZOO), which fell 23.12% or 601.10 points to trade at 1999.00 at the close. Amana Takaful PLC (CM:ATL) declined 14.29% or 0.20 points to end at 1.20 and AIA Insurance Lanka PLC (CM:AVIV) was down 9.70% or 32.00 points to 298.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 150 to 46 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 2.16% or 0.83 to $37.51 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.88% or 0.76 to hit $39.57 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.16% or 2.00 to trade at $1233.60 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.32% to 210.810, while USD/LKR rose 0.02% to 146.745.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 94.52.
