Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Information Technology, Power & Energy and Investment Trust sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share gained 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC House PLC (CM:PCHO), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. Meanwhile, PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) added 25.00% or 0.20 points to end at 1.00 and Sunshine Holdings PLC (CM:SUN) was up 14.72% or 7.70 points to 60.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tangerine Beach Hotels PLC (CM:TANG), which fell 9.93% or 8.50 points to trade at 77.10 at the close. SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) declined 8.33% or 0.10 points to end at 1.20 and F L C Holdings PLC (CM:FREE) was down 7.14% or 0.10 points to 1.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 177 to 69 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in F L C Holdings PLC (CM:FREE) fell to 3-years lows; falling 7.14% or 0.10 to 1.40.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.10% or 0.04 to $39.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.32% or 0.14 to hit $43.35 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.67% or 7.60 to trade at $1130.70 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.89% to 209.715, while USD/LKR fell 0.43% to 133.570.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.64% at 94.51.
