Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Construction, Banking and Developers sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW), which rose 3.69% or 0.46 points to trade at 12.91 at the close. Meanwhile, Synthos SA (WA:SNS) added 1.89% or 0.09 points to end at 4.84 and Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) was up 1.73% or 0.67 points to 39.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka SA (WA:LWBP), which fell 6.63% or 4.10 points to trade at 57.70 at the close. PKO Bank Polski SA (WA:PKO) declined 1.04% or 0.34 points to end at 32.40 and Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) was down 1.04% or 0.06 points to 5.76.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 307 to 238 and 117 ended unchanged.
Shares in Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka SA (WA:LWBP) fell to all time lows; falling 6.63% or 4.10 to 57.70.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.48% or 0.29 to $60.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.77% or 0.49 to hit $64.14 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.81% or 9.60 to trade at $1188.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.43% to 4.1562, while USD/PLN rose 0.23% to 3.6919.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 95.27.
