Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction, Chemicals and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Enea SA (WA:ENAE), which rose 4.72% or 0.69 points to trade at 15.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) added 4.47% or 3.77 points to end at 88.20 and Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) was up 1.58% or 1.20 points to 77.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka SA (WA:LWBP), which fell 2.63% or 1.36 points to trade at 50.35 at the close. LPP SA (WA:LPPP) declined 2.38% or 184.35 points to end at 7550.00 and Energa SA (WA:ENGP) was down 2.05% or 0.42 points to 20.07.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 277 to 264 and 113 ended unchanged.
Shares in Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka SA (WA:LWBP) fell to all time lows; losing 2.63% or 1.36 to 50.35. Shares in Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) rose to all time highs; up 4.47% or 3.77 to 88.20.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.90% or 0.86 to $46.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.04% or 0.52 to hit $50.03 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.20% or 2.20 to trade at $1091.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.60% to 4.1684, while USD/PLN rose 0.51% to 3.8041.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 97.52.
