Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Property, Banking & Financials and Holding Firms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 1.91%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Semirara Minin (PS:SCC), which rose 1.02% or 1.4000 points to trade at 138.9000 at the close. Meanwhile, Jollibee Foods (PS:JFC) added 1.00% or 2.000 points to end at 202.000 and Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM) was up 0.34% or 0.020 points to 5.820 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were San Miguel Cor (PS:SMC), which fell 5.13% or 2.450 points to trade at 45.300 at the close. Sm Prime Hldgs (PS:SMPH) declined 3.43% or 0.750 points to end at 21.100 and Phi Long Dis T (PS:TEL) was down 3.34% or 76.00 points to 2200.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 118 to 67 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.82% or 9.60 to $1154.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.11% or 0.53 to hit $47.62 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.23% or 0.62 to trade at $50.87 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.27% to 7.2632, while USD/PHP rose 0.59% to 46.070.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.06% at 94.84.
