Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Mining & Oil, Property and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 1.26%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM), which rose 1.55% or 0.090 points to trade at 5.910 at the close. Meanwhile, Gt Capital Hol (PS:GTCAP) added 0.53% or 7.000 points to end at 1337.000 and Jollibee Foods (PS:JFC) was up 0.50% or 1.000 points to 203.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Philex Mining (PS:PX), which fell 3.85% or 0.200 points to trade at 5.000 at the close. Semirara Minin (PS:SCC) declined 3.82% or 5.3000 points to end at 133.6000 and First Gen (PS:FGEN) was down 3.75% or 0.90 points to 23.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 113 to 74 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.74% or 8.60 to $1174.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $46.66 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.25% or 0.12 to trade at $49.56 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.10% to 7.2513, while USD/PHP fell 0.01% to 46.030.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 94.60.
