Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Petron Corp (PS:PCOR), which rose 4.86% or 0.540 points to trade at 11.660 at the close. Meanwhile, Bloomberry Resorts Corp (PS:BLOOM) added 3.69% or 0.210 points to end at 5.900 and LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) was up 3.33% or 0.500 points to 15.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC), which fell 1.87% or 0.100 points to trade at 5.250 at the close. Philex Mining Corp (PS:PX) declined 1.18% or 0.110 points to end at 9.210 and GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP) was down 0.56% or 8.000 points to 1431.000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 113 to 65 and 52 ended unchanged.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.82% or 10.65 to $1287.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.21% or 0.56 to hit $46.77 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.67% or 0.79 to trade at $47.98 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.01% to 7.0467, while USD/PHP rose 0.04% to 46.440.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 94.54.
