Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Services, Industrials and Holding Firms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Gt Capital Hol (PS:GTCAP), which rose 6.68% or 87.000 points to trade at 1390.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Globe Telecom (PS:GLO) added 5.82% or 128.000 points to end at 2328.000 and Universal Robi (PS:URC) was up 2.82% or 5.800 points to 211.800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alliance Globa (PS:AGI), which fell 2.97% or 0.750 points to trade at 24.500 at the close. Energy Develop (PS:EDC) declined 1.52% or 0.120 points to end at 7.760 and Metropolitan B (PS:MBT) was down 1.50% or 1.40 points to 92.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 110 to 88 and 14 ended unchanged.

Gold for June delivery was up 0.10% or 1.20 to $1193.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.23% or 0.74 to hit $61.49 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.98% or 0.66 to trade at $68.04 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.16% to 7.2031, while USD/PHP fell 0.22% to 44.694.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 94.50.
