Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Mining and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.46% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Milpo (LM:MIL), which rose 2.23% or 0.060 points to trade at 2.750 at the close. Meanwhile, Credicorp (LM:BAP) added 0.15% or 0.200 points to end at 137.600 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 5.990 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which unchanged 0% or 0 points to trade at 0.09 at the close. Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) declined 5.04% or 0.360 points to end at 6.790 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was down 4.90% or 0.500 points to 9.700.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 21 to 3 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.08% or 0.04 to $52.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.13% or 0.07 to hit $57.38 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.93% or 10.90 to trade at $1155.70 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.02% to 3.1785, while EUR/PEN fell 0.67% to 3.4808.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 96.91.
