Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Non-Metal Minerals and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 2.04% or 0.004 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 1.02% or 0.140 points to end at 13.820 and Enel Distribucion Peru SAA (LM:ENE) was up 0.98% or 0.060 points to 6.150 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which fell 7.87% or 0.035 points to trade at 0.410 at the close. Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) declined 6.25% or 0.500 points to end at 7.500 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) was down 3.23% or 0.020 points to 0.600.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 8 to 5 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Enel Distribucion Peru SAA (LM:ENE) rose to 52-week highs; up 0.98% or 0.060 to 6.150.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.63% or 1.12 to $67.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.14% or 1.59 to hit $72.62 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.50% or 6.10 to trade at $1217.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.06% to 3.2729, while EUR/PEN fell 0.33% to 3.8173.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 94.46.
