Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Lima Assorted and Agriculture sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General fell 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Rio Alto Minin (LM:RIO), which rose 4.06% or 0.110 points to trade at 2.820 at the close. Meanwhile, Bco Continenta (LM:CON) added 1.89% or 0.080 points to end at 4.320 and Edelnor (LM:EDN) was up 0.57% or 0.030 points to 5.330 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:PML), which fell 5.41% or 0.008 points to trade at 0.140 at the close. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 3.85% or 0.005 points to end at 0.130 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was down 2.73% or 0.300 points to 10.700.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 7 to 7 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Panoro (LM:PML) fell to 3-year lows; losing 5.41% or 0.008 to 0.140.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.13% or 0.06 to $47.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.34% or 0.75 to hit $55.17 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.41% or 4.90 to trade at $1192.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.09% to 3.0770, while EUR/PEN rose 0.59% to 3.3798.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 97.43.
