Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Industrials and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 9.83% or 0.034 points to trade at 0.380 at the close. Meanwhile, Milpo (LM:MIL) added 5.61% or 0.170 points to end at 3.200 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 4.25% or 0.020 points to 0.490 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Edegel (LM:EDE), which fell 3.04% or 0.070 points to trade at 2.230 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) declined 2.86% or 0.020 points to end at 0.680 and Inretail Peru (LM:INR) was down 2.21% or 0.430 points to 19.020.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 15 to 11 and 10 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 8.45% or 3.82 to $49.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 8.81% or 4.17 to hit $51.49 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 1.30% or 15.45 to trade at $1175.35 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 3.63% to 3.2780, while EUR/PEN rose 0.43% to 3.6375.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.52% at 101.51.
