Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Food & Beverages and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Inretail Peru (LM:INR), which rose 3.75% or 0.640 points to trade at 17.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 2.63% or 0.320 points to end at 12.500 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) was up 0.90% or 1.50 points to 168.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb), which fell 3.53% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.820 at the close. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 2.31% or 0.003 points to end at 0.127 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was down 2.00% or 0.005 points to 0.245.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 14 to 5 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.59% or 0.28 to $47.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.00% or 0.50 to hit $49.45 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 2.00 to trade at $1282.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2680, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6789.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 96.77.
