Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Mining, Lima Assorted and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General gained 0.90% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 8.70% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.175 at the close. Meanwhile, Sider (LM:SID) added 6.67% or 0.010 points to end at 0.160 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) was up 3.58% or 0.760 points to 22.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi), which fell 5.41% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.350 at the close. Unacem (LM:CEL) declined 0.86% or 0.020 points to end at 2.300 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) was down 0.84% or 0.040 points to 4.700.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 11 to 7 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.27% or 0.15 to $56.54 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.83% or 0.53 to hit $63.84 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.20% or 2.40 to trade at $1198.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.02% to 3.1235, while EUR/PEN rose 1.71% to 3.3472.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.67% at 97.88.
