Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Electricity and Lima Assorted sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General rose 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi), which rose 2.70% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.370 at the close. Meanwhile, Edelnor (LM:EDN) added 2.54% or 0.140 points to end at 5.650 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 1.75% or 0.010 points to 0.580 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sider (LM:SID), which fell 6.25% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.150 at the close. Luna Gold (LM:LGC) declined 5.88% or 0.010 points to end at 0.160 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was down 2.26% or 0.240 points to 10.360.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 10 to 6 and 7 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.39% or 0.20 to $50.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $56.67 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1194.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.16% to 3.1040, while EUR/PEN fell 0.89% to 3.3405.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.01% at 99.25.
