Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Telecoms and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 2.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which rose 1.55% or 3.1 points to trade at 203.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) added 1.33% or 2.50 points to end at 190.70 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was up 0.52% or 1.5 points to 292.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS), which fell 8.15% or 12.9 points to trade at 145.4 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 7.36% or 1.4 points to end at 18.1 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was down 5.58% or 7.8 points to 132.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 128 to 49 and 29 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.00% or 0.50 to $49.46 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.26% or 0.64 to hit $50.15 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.39% or 5.00 to trade at $1268.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.01% to 9.0197, while USD/NOK fell 0.25% to 8.2620.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 98.52.
