Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Media, Energy and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.58% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 2.18% or 6.8 points to trade at 318.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 1.22% or 0.07 points to end at 5.80 and Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) was up 0.57% or 0.1 points to 8.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which fell 5.71% or 1.6 points to trade at 26.4 at the close. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) declined 4.96% or 12.0 points to end at 229.9 and Statoil ASA (OL:STL) was down 3.38% or 4.4 points to 125.9.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 102 to 62 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.57% or 1.37 to $36.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 3.87% or 1.56 to hit $38.77 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.68% or 20.80 to trade at $1214.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.43% to 9.4595, while USD/NOK rose 0.40% to 8.3084.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 94.70.
