Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Media, Diversified Financials and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 1.41%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Subsea 7 SA (OSLO:SUBC), which rose 0.85% or 0.7 points to trade at 83.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) added 0.42% or 0.4 points to end at 95.7 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) was up 0.18% or 0.10 points to 57.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orkla ASA (OSLO:ORK), which fell 4.59% or 2.95 points to trade at 61.35 at the close. Schibsted ASA (OSLO:SBST) declined 4.17% or 21.3 points to end at 489.7 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) was down 3.50% or 2.4 points to 66.2.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 113 to 62 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.48% or 0.84 to $55.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.38% or 0.24 to hit $63.73 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.39% or 4.70 to trade at $1202.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 1.36% to 8.4536, while USD/NOK rose 1.13% to 7.8378.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 97.75.
