Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Energy, Transport and Media sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.39%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Storebrand ASA (OSLO:STB), which rose 1.18% or 0.39 points to trade at 33.56 at the close. Meanwhile, Telenor ASA (OSLO:TEL) fell 0.11% or 0.2 points to end at 180.6 and Aker Solutions OL (OSLO:AKSOL) was down 0.22% or 0.07 points to 31.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO), which fell 8.10% or 0.74 points to trade at 8.34 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT) declined 5.76% or 2.00 points to end at 32.70 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) was down 5.21% or 2.50 points to 45.45.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 124 to 56 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.82% or 0.82 to $44.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.10% or 0.55 to hit $49.05 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.34% or 3.70 to trade at $1089.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.47% to 9.0464, while USD/NOK rose 0.35% to 8.2841.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 97.92.
