Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Telecoms and Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 16.58% or 3.72 points to trade at 26.16 at the close. Meanwhile, TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 2.57% or 4.3 points to end at 172.1 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 2.21% or 6.2 points to 286.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 4.32% or 1.0 points to trade at 21.7 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) declined 3.55% or 9.8 points to end at 266.8 and Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) was down 2.47% or 0.61 points to 24.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 101 to 82 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.20% or 0.61 to $50.18 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.86% or 0.45 to hit $51.96 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.09% or 1.10 to trade at $1254.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.26% to 9.0678, while USD/NOK rose 0.58% to 8.2294.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 97.94.
