Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Auto & components and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 4.01% or 1.69 points to trade at 43.79 at the close. Meanwhile, Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) added 2.04% or 1.01 points to end at 50.50 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was up 1.97% or 2.5 points to 129.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which fell 5.14% or 1.27 points to trade at 23.45 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 4.27% or 0.05 points to end at 1.19 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) was down 2.84% or 0.3 points to 10.2.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 93 to 79 and 31 ended unchanged.
Shares in Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.04% or 1.01 to 50.50. Shares in Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) rose to 3-years highs; rising 1.97% or 2.5 to 129.5. Shares in Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) fell to all time lows; losing 2.84% or 0.3 to 10.2.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.79% or 1.48 to $51.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.65% or 1.48 to hit $54.44 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.55% or 6.65 to trade at $1209.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.59% to 8.9846, while USD/NOK rose 0.76% to 8.5176.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 102.10.
