Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Media, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 5.86% or 0.98 points to trade at 17.70 at the close. Meanwhile, TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) added 4.13% or 7.1 points to end at 178.9 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was up 2.70% or 0.03 points to 1.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which fell 2.06% or 4.0 points to trade at 190.3 at the close. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) declined 1.92% or 1.20 points to end at 61.44 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was down 1.58% or 2.5 points to 155.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 92 to 83 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.44% or 0.70 to $49.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.52% or 0.81 to hit $54.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.47 to trade at $1344.97 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.26% to 9.2907, while USD/NOK rose 0.03% to 7.7826.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 92.02.
