Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Energy, Telecoms and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 14.73% or 0.53 points to trade at 4.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 3.35% or 4.40 points to end at 135.90 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) was up 2.74% or 0.80 points to 30.03 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 2.28% or 0.03 points to trade at 1.11 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 1.70% or 0.29 points to end at 16.73 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 1.35% or 3.0 points to 218.8.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 99 to 81 and 24 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.22% or 0.56 to $46.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.00% or 0.48 to hit $48.63 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.25% or 3.21 to trade at $1268.19 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.30% to 9.4876, while USD/NOK fell 0.36% to 8.4685.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 97.22.
