Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Materials and Auto & components sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norsk Hydro ASA (OSLO:NHY), which rose 4.95% or 1.54 points to trade at 32.64 at the close. Meanwhile, Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) added 2.71% or 1.6 points to end at 62.5 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) was up 2.29% or 0.87 points to 38.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO), which fell 3.66% or 0.38 points to trade at 10.01 at the close. Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC) declined 2.72% or 0.05 points to end at 1.64 and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo) was down 1.61% or 12.0 points to 735.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 113 to 71 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.42% or 0.21 to $49.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.82% or 0.43 to hit $52.62 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.16% or 13.30 to trade at $1157.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.02% to 9.1724, while USD/NOK fell 0.82% to 8.0694.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.55% at 94.88.
