Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Diversified Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which rose 10.37% or 0.85 points to trade at 9.05 at the close. Meanwhile, REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) added 8.12% or 0.15 points to end at 1.93 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) was up 4.40% or 1.4 points to 33.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 4.35% or 0.28 points to trade at 6.15 at the close. Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) declined 3.18% or 0.3 points to end at 9.7 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 3.11% or 11.4 points to 355.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 87 to 84 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.41% or 0.18 to $43.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.29% or 0.13 to hit $44.84 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.82% or 10.65 to trade at $1281.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.22% to 9.3606, while USD/NOK rose 0.27% to 8.1449.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.26% at 93.26.
