Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Banking and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.47% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA), which rose 2.31% or 1.50 points to trade at 66.50 at the close. Meanwhile, DnB ASA (OL:DNB) added 2.00% or 2.1 points to end at 107.3 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) was up 1.78% or 5.3 points to 303.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 7.37% or 2.2 points to trade at 27.2 at the close. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) declined 5.23% or 4.1 points to end at 74.3 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was down 3.59% or 0.07 points to 1.88.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 91 to 80 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.32% or 0.16 to $49.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.34% or 0.17 to hit $49.91 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.14% or 1.75 to trade at $1222.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.39% to 9.2495, while USD/NOK fell 0.61% to 8.2731.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 95.22.
