Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Transport and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO), which rose 13.23% or 1.01 points to trade at 8.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT) added 8.18% or 2.60 points to end at 34.40 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) was up 5.39% or 19.0 points to 371.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS), which fell 5.43% or 0.6 points to trade at 10.4 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) declined 5.21% or 3.9 points to end at 70.0 and Subsea 7 SA (OSLO:SUBC) was down 4.47% or 3.2 points to 68.3.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 96 to 81 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) fell to all time lows; losing 5.43% or 0.6 to 10.4. Shares in Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) rose to all time highs; gaining 5.39% or 19.0 to 371.4.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.91% or 1.37 to $45.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 3.96% or 2.06 to hit $50.15 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.38% or 4.20 to trade at $1090.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.54% to 9.0298, while USD/NOK rose 0.77% to 8.2373.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 97.50.
