Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 1.98%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banca Mediolanum SpA (MI:BMED), which rose 2.29% or 0.150 points to trade at 6.690 at the close. Meanwhile, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) added 2.26% or 0.230 points to end at 10.410 and Brembo (MI:BRBI) was up 1.62% or 1.05 points to 66.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT), which fell 2.53% or 0.40 points to trade at 15.41 at the close. Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) declined 2.18% or 0.50 points to end at 22.41 and Banca Pop Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII) was down 1.67% or 0.078 points to 4.606.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 185 to 156 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Brembo (MI:BRBI) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.62% or 1.05 to 66.00.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.08% or 0.04 to $48.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $51.42 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.65 to trade at $1205.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.0667, while EUR/GBP fell 0.69% to 0.8720.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 101.14.
