Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 1.21%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Campari (MI:CPRI), which rose 2.10% or 0.17 points to trade at 8.53 at the close. Meanwhile, Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) added 1.36% or 0.0140 points to end at 1.0460 and Italcementi (MI:ITAI) was up 0.79% or 0.080 points to 10.150 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tod'S (MI:TOD), which fell 7.22% or 5.30 points to trade at 68.10 at the close. Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (MI:BMPS) declined 5.98% or 0.0380 points to end at 0.5970 and Banca Popolare di Milano Scarl (MI:PMII) was down 4.62% or 0.0345 points to 0.7125.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 257 to 142 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Campari (MI:CPRI) rose to all time highs; up 2.10% or 0.17 to 8.53.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.26% or 0.84 to $36.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.28% or 0.90 to hit $38.63 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.21% or 15.10 to trade at $1230.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.1110, while EUR/GBP rose 1.12% to 0.7853.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 96.66.
