Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare, Travel & Leisure and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.89%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI), which rose 1.30% or 0.18 points to trade at 14.02 at the close. Meanwhile, Terna (MI:TRN) unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to end at 5.075 and STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) was down 0.07% or 0.010 points to 14.720 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mediaset (MI:MS), which fell 3.51% or 0.126 points to trade at 3.460 at the close. Recordati (MI:RECI) declined 3.14% or 1.19 points to end at 36.71 and Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) was down 2.73% or 0.078 points to 2.784.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 245 to 105 and 15 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.90% or 0.43 to $47.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.16% or 0.58 to hit $49.37 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.97 to trade at $1282.17 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.1252, while EUR/GBP fell 0.58% to 0.8709.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 96.78.
