Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banca Pop Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII), which rose 6.05% or 0.210 points to trade at 3.680 at the close. Meanwhile, Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) added 2.12% or 0.47 points to end at 22.67 and Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) was up 1.05% or 0.16 points to 15.41 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK), which fell 3.99% or 0.20 points to trade at 4.81 at the close. Tenaris (MI:TENR) declined 3.16% or 0.42 points to end at 12.88 and STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) was down 3.00% or 0.225 points to 7.285.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 233 to 163 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.99% or 0.20 to 4.81.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.15% or 0.59 to $50.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.30% or 0.69 to hit $52.45 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.16% or 2.00 to trade at $1258.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.68% to 1.1060, while EUR/GBP rose 0.57% to 0.9058.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.67% at 97.56.
