Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tod'S (MI:TOD), which rose 4.01% or 3.05 points to trade at 79.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Prysmian (MI:PRY) added 3.65% or 0.71 points to end at 20.15 and CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) was up 2.29% or 0.145 points to 6.480 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT), which fell 3.72% or 0.0470 points to trade at 1.2160 at the close. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) declined 2.68% or 0.3600 points to end at 13.0700 and Intesa Sanpaolo (MI:ISP) was down 2.16% or 0.0680 points to 3.0760.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 215 to 214 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 3.28% or 1.57 to $46.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 3.71% or 1.88 to hit $48.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.25% or 2.80 to trade at $1111.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.98% to 1.0856, while EUR/GBP fell 0.69% to 0.7061.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.83% at 98.06.
