Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Anima Holding SpA (MI:ANIM), which rose 3.89% or 0.20 points to trade at 5.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Saipem (MI:SPMI) added 3.80% or 0.0139 points to end at 0.3800 and Unicredit (MI:CRDI) was up 2.68% or 0.0760 points to 2.9140 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tod'S (MI:TOD), which fell 8.36% or 5.10 points to trade at 55.90 at the close. Generali (MI:GASI) declined 3.97% or 0.5200 points to end at 12.5900 and Snam (MI:SRG) was down 3.03% or 0.160 points to 5.125.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 204 to 192 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tod'S (MI:TOD) fell to 5-year lows; losing 8.36% or 5.10 to 55.90.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.54% or 0.25 to $45.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.90% or 0.43 to hit $47.17 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.32% or 4.05 to trade at $1271.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.39% to 1.1382, while EUR/GBP fell 0.44% to 0.7874.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.29% at 94.07.
